sdock I guess I shouldn't lose more weight (I'm a size 6) but I keep trying cause I just wanna be happy with the way I look and I'm not. My husband is always yelling at me to eat. He doesn't understand I can't. I'm afraid..I never wanna go back to the way I was before. I was so fucking unhappy. But still I'm not happy with the way I look. I'm so messed up sometimes.

How are you tonight? Excellent, I hope. Me? I'm good. Just struggling to find the words. Sorry, this is the best I could come up with tonight.
On the Porch
I can't seem to find the words to say,
because they are locked inside my head.
On second thought, what if I'm searching the wrong place?
Maybe I should search my heart instead.
By opening up my heart
I won't be able to stop the blood shed.
I might fall completely apart
And this page would bleed bright red.
I don't mean to sound so sad
or ramble with such emotion.
My life can't be this fucking bad.
Afterall, I could change it if I took the notion.
So I sit here on the porch
stuck in betwixt and 'tween.
With my head trying to out scream my heart of course,
the moods begin to swing.
Head and heart at war
and it's always a constant battle.
Not ever quite sure what they're fighting for.
I'm left empty, drained, and rattled.
So I apologize tonight
for not being able to call a truce.
Maybe tomorrow I can stop the fight
and give you something you can really use.

the version of the four seasons that i've always listened to is by the prague chamber orchestra, but i'll certainly check out vanessa mae. there's another version i'd dearly love to get, but it's hard to find -- called kyoto vivaldi, it's the four seasons done all with tradtional japanese intruments. it's the most beautiful thing.

Umm, I love koto music, well, I love most Japanese instruments. I've actually got a ridiculous amount of Japanese CD's (I admit: i listen to J pop as well O_o ) so Kyoto Vivaldi sounds right up my alley. I'll look that up.
Oh man, I think you'd love Vanessa Mae. If you get the chance, check out her version of "Storm." It's an eargasm.

these are good! the brand i buy comes in a can, too (or huge bags...drooool) -- the brand is hapi snacks ("hapi snacks for happy times!"), from thailand.
one of my local grocery stores sells their own brand, but there's no flavor and no bite to them. *bleh*

seattle has a very solid asian population, so our international district has lots of businesses, but my favorite place is uwajimaya (they have a bookstore next door -- manga heaven).

i got tua #5 today...read it on the bus. made inappropriately public gasps, and had to hide my giggles behind my hand once or twice.

and! my comic book shop finally got in the tua gear -- so i bought the pins!
it's weird, but ever since i saw the pics of gerard and gabriel at the san diego comic con wearing those tua pins, i've coveted them fiercely. i'm not really a pin-wearer, but...

i'm usually able to keep a straight face publically in most situations but not for tua, and not if i'm writing. i get too caught up in the words, and if something comes to me, i tend to get wiggly. *oh dear*
and once, working on a contest entry (a poem) in the breakroom at the library, the perfect word came to me, and finished out a line so that it just sparkled, and i was so happy about it i went "yes!" and pumped my fist.
totally forgot there were people in the breakroom with me.

(i've got the umbrella and kraken's insignia on my coat lapel, along with one for the lashes. *grin*)
